It entails:
Ergonomics and Manual Handling Training
Ergonomics is the process of designing or arranging workplaces, products and systems so that they fit the people who use them. Ergonomics aims to create safe, comfortable and productive workspaces by bringing human abilities and limitations into the design of a workspace, including the individual’s body size, strength, skill, speed, sensory abilities (vision, hearing), and even attitudes
According to Safe Work Australia, the total economic cost of work-related injuries and illnesses is estimated to be $60 billion dollars.
We aim to design the work environment to the individual and taking into consideration their surroundings therefore minimising the risk of overuse or recurrent injuries. Our Manual Handling training entails anything from posture, correct lifting to even driving heavy machinery. Our physiotherapists visits can ascertain the job demands and tailor the training to meet the requirements of the organisation. All training is done on-site.
